The brand’s newest PMO project sponsored a Dance Marathon hosted by Grand Canyon University, (GCU) for the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. This all-day event has been practiced since 1991 and continues to be a highly useful fundraising tool within the community. Universities that have sustained this legacy have raised millions of dollars for the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. During a Dance Marathon, people come together and dance all day for a good cause. The public is exposed to games, different organizational booths, and influential people in the community.
Essentially, a Dance Marathon brings people together as they bond with others over the common goal to give back to the kids of the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. This event intends to raise money, and awareness for the children’s hospital and the GCU team put in all possible efforts to accumulate a grand total of ~ 5,000 to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. The children of the hospital look forward to this event every year, and sometimes university teams of this event are fortunate to have the children as their special guests at the Marathon.
The PMO brand actively advertised for the cause leading up to March 31st when the marathon took place by releasing the information to our contacts and brand owner Tevin Grant was a designated member of the GCU’s Dance Marathon team. GCU’s first ever Dance Marathon was located in the Antelope Gym at 3300 West. Camelback Road. Phoenix, AZ 85014 from noon-6pm and marked the first of many future Dance Marathon’s that cater to the students of Grand Canyon University.
