PMO Prophet: Miss Colorado Earth 2018 (Bre)

Bre 21, from Colorado is Miss Colorado Earth U.S. 2018. Even more so, she runs a lifestyle blog called Living Beautifully Balanced, and models professionally. After becoming associated with Bre and her distinguished titles, one word that popped into my head was determined. This is because to have and maintain a national title like Miss Colorado is not easy at all. Then, to run a blog, model, be a student, and have a life is above and beyond, to say the least. As a fellow Grand Canyon University lope of Tev and I, Bre is one of a kind. Ironically, she directly associates success with perseverance, and to persevere is to be determined.

“ Success is when you get turned down, or do not place, but continue to persevere and achieve whatever it is you are chasing anyways. Never let a “no” or loss stop you from that dream.”

“ Success is when you get turned down, or do not place, but continue to persevere and achieve whatever it is you are chasing anyways. Never let a “no” or loss stop you from that dream.”

Five years from now Bre aspires to build her Living Beautifully Balanced blog into its own brand and business. She also yearns to see herself on the Miss U.S.A. stage, but with her go-getter mentality, this aspiration does not seem to far-fetched. Bre is inspired by destiny. Writing and fashion are what she truly loves, and destiny has continued to redirect her path in modeling and performing, which has influenced her love in those industries as well. Therefore, the saying “ it is what it should be” is what Bre continues to put her faith in. Personally, I think that this is beautiful since it is rare to find individuals that are genuinely willing to trust in the direction that life takes us, especially during our darkest rides.

As for passion, utilizing her voice to empower others is what excites Bre the most. This answer definitely caught my attention, since “empowering others” is the platform of this lifestyle brand. Not only this, but Bre expresses her will to help all that want to live a “Beautifully Balanced Life."

She puts in all this work and reaches for the stars because she says that it is apart of her. She describes herself as a “heart on her sleeve” type girl. This makes complete sense as Bre makes a point of establishing every part of herself that she shares with the world into a personal connection with others. This is so that they have the opportunity to be apart of it all with her.

“ I was the lead role in my school play at age 7, and ever since then my heart has been on the stage.”

“ I was the lead role in my school play at age 7, and ever since then my heart has been on the stage.”

When hard times surface, Bre explains that her loved ones keep her going. She also could not get by without fitness, meditation, and journaling, which I know is why she is so successful in her pursuits because her passion shines in every one of them. Overall, the best part about the journey that Bre has decided to take is the unexpected. Particularly in pageantry, she is her own competition, and this is why the entire industry experience is so rewarding. What Bre does benefits others by her constant reminders that staying humble and working hard is a one-way ticket to accomplishing your dreams. This message is pushed throughout her blog, and even throughout her pageantry as Miss Colorado. Her U.S. title comes with immersing herself into charity and volunteer work as often as possible. This is okay though because Bre wants to give, as she follows the saying, “you get what you give in life.”

She illustrates that this journey has not only shaped her into the best version of herself but has helped her discover who she is. Altogether, Bre looks for advice in everything that she does, and truthfully that is a very mature perception.

“ Growth. Confidence. Perseverance. You can never be over-educated.”

“ Growth. Confidence. Perseverance. You can never be over-educated.”

After getting a chance to sit down and get to know Bre, I am inspired and impressed. You are a role model, and I do not think there was a better person to be Miss Colorado Earth U.S. Good luck with the rest of your journey. You have our complete support.

Thank you, Bre!

PMO Prophet: Peri Warren (P.)

Peri Warren, (P) 21, from Minnesota, is the founder and lead strategist of New League Social, a sports blog that presents content of style, sports, and culture. She has taken the LEAGUE to a whole new level: both as a blog, where she curates original and inspired content, and as a brand. Her projects are definitely keeping her busy, but being “authentically grounded in one’s purpose” is her definition of success at the end of the day. P’s words are significant because as ideas begin to grow, it is easy to fulfill one’s purpose with a fraudulent means of achievement.

“Money? Sure. Nice whips? Great. But being able to be unapologetically you at all stages of your journey is the dopest measure of success”.

“Money? Sure. Nice whips? Great. But being able to be unapologetically you at all stages of your journey is the dopest measure of success”.

Five years from now P plans to grow the LEAGUE into a boutique consulting agency that combines strategic branding and creative ideation plus activation. However, she stays open-minded to the idea that time may lead her into a new direction, and that she is all for it. Essentially, her faith in God sustains the faith that she has in herself to continue to be unique in her mindset within the business world.

P’s inspiration comes from her dad because he exposed her to his world of sports business and the people that truly have the power when it comes down to it. Altogether, pursuing a perspective of what really goes on in this business, gave P a critical sense of awareness. She understood the lack of honesty, diversity, and unique leadership that became essential aspects to consider in her interest not only within this career but to make a difference with her presence.

P possesses a keen interest in others. She says that this passion stems from guiding individuals into discovering, and manifesting their own purpose. She continues on this path to ultimately flip the script in sports culture and puts any hard times that may come into the hands of faith.

In the immortal words of Tupac Shakur: "through my faith in God, through my faith in the game and the through my faith that all good things come to those who stay true."

In the immortal words of Tupac Shakur: "through my faith in God, through my faith in the game and the through my faith that all good things come to those who stay true."

The best part about the way that P contributes to society is by being a visionary. She wants to bring something to the table that is not already there. People can learn a lot from stepping outside of their normal routine, and in my opinion, P paves out her future in this way. The most challenging part about her aspirations is the competition of sports. She explains that social media adds to this competition because people only see the highlights of someone's life, which makes it even more crucial to reveal their entire truth.

“People just see me traveling to all these games, meeting with legendary athletes and rockin' Gucci. Let me tell you about how many nights I stayed up to figure out how to code my own website, how many meeting requests I have had declined, or the ov…

“People just see me traveling to all these games, meeting with legendary athletes and rockin' Gucci. Let me tell you about how many nights I stayed up to figure out how to code my own website, how many meeting requests I have had declined, or the overall enigma of being a Black woman in sports”.

Essentially, P does not consider herself as a benefactor towards the sports culture, but a guide in consulting others in continuing to succeed. She expresses that her journey has taught her how to hustle, and how to be the best. When it comes down to it, her dad is her go to for advice. She also closely confides in her aunt Shirley who has fed her mind with creativity.

If I took one thing away from my interview with P, it was that she comes with a lot of wisdom. Her responses bring out a critical thinker, who is spirited in exercising all of her options.

Peri Warren possesses unique character, and it made this article even more exciting to put together.

Thank you, P. !

PMO Prophet: Noah Wolfe

Noah Wolfe, from California is 20 and in his final year at Grand Canyon University, (GCU). He holds the title of ASGCU’s (advocate for the students of GCU) Student Body President at the university fulfilling a huge responsibility. His definition of success is equivalent to purpose and fulfilling one’s purpose as efficiently as possible.

“In my opinion success is when one identifies their purpose in life and works as hard as they possibly can to live it out well.”

“In my opinion success is when one identifies their purpose in life and works as hard as they possibly can to live it out well.”

Five years from now Noah hopes to be actively living out his purpose, and he defines this as being immersed in community development with nonprofits or public administration. His position as president at GCU serves as practice in fulfilling this achievement five years from now, as both of his areas of interest are what his title is all about. Noah articulates that others have inspired him to take action himself. He has recognized the dedication and hard work that people put in to build, and create aspects that make the world a better place.

“Watching people leave the world better then they found it has shown me that I want to do the same."

“Watching people leave the world better then they found it has shown me that I want to do the same."

Two significant individuals that influence Noah to pursue his endeavors are Walt Disney and Steve Jobs. When identifying what Noah is most passionate about, people was his answer, and having this passion depicts what being a PMO Prophet is all about. In order to be an “an individual that has made a significant impact in the community” one must have that drive to reflect their passions onto others. Amongst, Noah’s passion he enjoys what makes an individual unique. Identifying with what makes someone stand out, and joining those in the pursuit of their success is very important to him. Being the best version of himself is inheriting cultural responsibility, and this concept deals with the promotion of diversity and respect for all walks of life.

“Part of inheriting cultural responsibility is actively ignoring passivity.”

“Part of inheriting cultural responsibility is actively ignoring passivity.”

Essentially, Noah wants to be the best possible version of himself that he can be. This is done through God’s creation of ourselves, meaning that we use the gifts that He has given us to achieve greatness. Noah believes that difficult times take place when someone begins to imagine how difficult things are. He speaks for himself in this regard, therefore initiates that we have the power during times that test us. Noah loves what he does, so it doesn’t feel like work. His joy comes from other’s progress, and the ability to come alongside people and feel nothing but happiness for them speaks to his character as being selfless. Ultimately, Noah Wolfe continues to appreciate the little things, and I believe that this is an aspect that allows him to continue to be successful as a leader of thousands, and purely within himself.

I cannot thank Noah enough for giving me the opportunity to write this exclusive on him.

Noah, it was a pleasure getting to know you, and the imprint that you continue to make on the world.

PMO Prophet: Alexandra Foster

This PMO Prophet article is going to be different this time around because I will be writing it about myself. As you know my name is Alexandra Foster. I am a full-time student at Grand Canyon University, (GCU) with a major in Communications and a minor in Psychology. After receiving my undergraduate degree at GCU in the next year, I will further my education in graduate school out of the country in Paris, France or back home in New York City, (NYC). The end goal is to become a Public Relations, (PR) Manager for a major fashion company in NYC. Essentially, over time have the opportunity to work in Europe from time to time with hopes of moving out that way eventually. I run a published fashion column in a women’s collegiate online magazine called HerCampus. Additionally, I serve as Tevin Grant's, (founder of the Progress More Often brand) official PR manager. I consistently update my fashion column bi-weekly, and write the very PMO Prophet, and current news that you see here for the PMO brand.

My definition of success is a constant motivator for myself to stay sane within the responsibilities that I willingly take on from day to day.

“ The satisfaction of knowing that I did everything that I could to then accept their final outcome without regrets of what I should have done.”

“ The satisfaction of knowing that I did everything that I could to then accept their final outcome without regrets of what I should have done.”

Essentially, I am a firm believer of reaching my full potential and have felt like a void in my heart has been filled ever since real life experience in doing what I love best is being pursued. This is reaching out and understanding people, along with FASHION. Within the next five years, I will have obtained my graduate degree with an emphasis in Public Relations Management and be well on my way to the first step in moving up the ladder as a PR Manager by starting as a PR assistant. I am also very excited about my writing outlets as a fashion columnist and journalist for the PMO brand. Aside from experience, my knowledge will be at an expert level as I plan to continue doing both for as long as possible.

I would say that I have a genuine strive to succeed, and all my strength comes from my mom. Her passion is all about persistence and hard work. Therefore, I believe that with those two aspects I can truly achieve anything that I set my mind to. Like anyone else I have had my share of tragedy in my life that took a turn in my entire being, but thanks to therapy, time, and college I completely snapped out of it. In the end, this has given me an even more significant reason to push myself to extremes.

Ultimately, I want to make my mom, grandparents, and myself proud. I describe myself as very sentimental and let's not forget, goofy person. However, the grandparents that were taken from me at a young age are always watching, and expect nothing but greatness. Along, with myself, I will reach maximum happiness when I can sit back and reflect on the empire that I have created for myself with nothing but success.

“‘You know, I am thrilled with where I am and where I am going, and my character is as intact as ever.”

“‘You know, I am thrilled with where I am and where I am going, and my character is as intact as ever.”

I am involved in three clubs on GCU's campus. The Black Student Union, (BSU), Psychology Club, and HerCampus Magazine, GCU chapter, as a designated club. Aside from these, I am actively involved in yoga that I participate in at the university as well. In the end, I wrote this article about myself by answering the questions that Mr. Tevin Grant and I worked up together, and I hope that you have enjoyed these news articles through the PMO so far. Until next time:)

“I will not be there yet until; I’m there hahaha.” It will take everything, but I will gain everything.”

PMO Prophet: Tevin Grant (TevG)

Tevin Grant, (TevG), age 22, from Minnesota, founder of the Progress More Often Brand, (PMO), published model, event organizer, host, and full-time graduate of Grand Canyon University, (GCU), in the next three months with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration and a minor in Marketing. He does it all, and five years from now plans to be making six figures, with the ability to comfortably have the PMO brand built from the ground up. By then TevG will be twenty-seven years old with natural wishes of sitting comfortably within his career. This expands to modeling, investing into stocks, and searching for new opportunities to optimize.

When it comes to success, this is correlated with a feeling. TevG’s journey began with his interest in viewing everything as a form of business. This started the seed as the prospects for a growing entrepreneur that problem solves even in the most trying times.

“Success is not a destination; it is a journey. As long as I am chasing my dreams, I will be successful.”

“Success is not a destination; it is a journey. As long as I am chasing my dreams, I will be successful.”

The idea for a brand was a no-brainer for him as he is most passionate about Progress and making it a consistent endeavor. Tony Robinson is a personal favorite of Tev’s, and he lives by a few of this man’s wise words.

“ Progress is Happiness.” – Tony RobinsonResponse:

“ Progress is Happiness.” – Tony Robinson

Response:

“That is exactly how I feel.”  - TevG

“That is exactly how I feel.”  - TevG

TevG pushes on because of his family and the hold that they have on his big heart. When things get rough, he looks to them and the vision of progress. It is never easy for anybody, and particularly he has hit his breaking points, but it is how one deals with and comes up from these situations that reveals the true influence and character that they vibe off.

"My why is my family. They are the most motivating factor in my life. I want to put myself in a position to not only live lavishly, and to take care of my family, but also the generations after me." – TevG

"My why is my family. They are the most motivating factor in my life. I want to put myself in a position to not only live lavishly, and to take care of my family, but also the generations after me." – TevG

Being the influencer that he is, it is a give and take type relationship in this business. Taking control of ones life is something that TevG instills in others by giving them another option in their struggles, but this is also what the process does for him. Ultimately, what gets TEvg the most is the impact that he sees put into action through others because he took the first step into making this possible. TevG has become a man of forgiveness, understanding, acceptance, and faith. His vision is a constant reminder that giving up is not an option and for him that was never the plan in the first place.

Finally, what keeps TevG humble and grounded is his mama. He looks to her for advice as she is the one who genuinely gives it to him straight, therefore the one that holds his full trust. Mr. Tevin Grant is why the acts and beliefs that the PMO brand has accumulated and performs to this day ARE THE WAY THAT THEY ARE. FOR THIS REASON, I could not be more happy to be apart of making these visions a reality for him and everyone that comes along for the ride. If you are interested in reading up on Tevin Grant, you can visit his social media, contact, and/or brand website.

As a GCU PMO prophet Tevin is involved in the universities flag football team and brings the PMO brand exclusively to Grand Canyon. Knowing Tevin personally is truly a blessing because he never lets the popularity get in the way of being the genuine man that I see in the time that we spend together.

TEV AS always your time never gets old!

PMO Prophet: Terrance Carter (T.C.)

Terrance Carter, (T.C.), age 20, from California, is a two-time published author, but also a poet, motivational speaker, and student at Grand Canyon University, (GCU). In a couple of months, a college graduate with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology at the age of 20. T.C. will pursue a career as a youth counselor that mentors teenagers who commit crimes and work in high schools doing restorative justice and practice.

T.C. defines success as, "the freedom to do what one loves to do while serving others and most importantly having fun in the process.”

T.C. defines success as, "the freedom to do what one loves to do while serving others and most importantly having fun in the process.”

T.C. has plans to travel the world, release his third book, and host motivational speaking events, and conferences. He wants to introduce his books to college campuses, and have the opportunity to act. T.C.’s inspiration stems from his past experiences, the trials and tribulations that motivated him to overcome his pain to achieve something greater than himself. One memory that T.C. is very fond of was in second grade with a girl who had just lost her uncle around the same time that he had lost his dad. She was wearing a shirt with her uncle’s face on it, and it was then that T.C. realized that other people are going through things too. From then on, he knew that his purpose was to be as he says, “the light at the end of that dark tunnel” for others.

Essentially, T.C. wants to uplift others in the way that they never failed to bring up his spirits during the hard times that he endured. The influence that these times had on T.C. encouraged him to create “Uplift”. This is his very own up and coming brand that stands as an acronym for, untold perspectives lost in fairytales. essentially, the idea is to be the voice of individuals who have something to say, but are afraid to speak up on their own.

T.C. is most passionate about expression, music poetry, spoken word, writing, photography, film, and networking. He looks up to his mentor, Nate Howard, a motivational speaker that has led him to where he is now through his encouragement and feedback. Specifically, the responsibilities that T.C takes on motivates him to continue progressing. He believes that, the type of role model that one resembles towards others may be the most significant piece of themselves that they share with another human being.

The highlight of Terrance Carter's experience is, “Experiencing new things, making connections with beautiful people, and clinging to new ways to expand his mind and creativity.”

The highlight of Terrance Carter's experience is, “Experiencing new things, making connections with beautiful people, and clinging to new ways to expand his mind and creativity.”

Now as T.C. has made a name for himself reflection is critical. The path that he has taken has changed him in many ways. T.C. focuses his energy on separating himself from the negativity, and always leading the conversation instead of following it. As a PMO Prophet of GCU, T.C. works for the learning lounge on campus and plays on one of the universities flag football teams. Currently, he holds an executive position as a case manager that caters to a freshman’s first-year experience on campus.

After sitting down with Mr. Terrance Carter, we got the chance to get to know the real him, and it was a pleasure. This officially marks the third PMO Prophet, and there will be plenty more to come. If you are interested in knowing more about Terrance and the impact that he is making, here is his social media and sales for his written works.
